The history between the Gentile and Brock families goes way back. My parents played with Brad’s father in a band in the late 80’s. Life happened and they moved away, but we reconnected when brad began making music on his own. He recruited my brother, Dan, on drums. It wasn’t long after that my dad was drafted for pedal steel, keys, and anything else we could get him to play. At 9 years old, I was referred to as “short man” on guitar.
I truly got my start playing for Brad Brock. It was with this band I had the opportunity to share the stage with some of best musicians in south Florida, including Steve Siciliano and Mike Gibson. Over the 6 years that the original band was really active, we opened for country music icons Kenny Chesney, Arlo Guthrie, and the Bellamy Brothers, to name a few. There were also many late nights playing country bars halfway across the state, but those were the gigs that really seasoned me as a musician.
